Team management: mechanics, service advisers and pay

The ReForge team · updated

In short

ReForge links mechanics to your shop with a personal code, assigns them to jobs and tracks their time. Labour pay is worked out by period, paid time off is requested and approved in the app, and your service adviser works from their own profile without access to prices and pay.

Every mechanic with their own profile

Mechanics create their own account and get a personal employee code. Enter the code and they're part of the team – no shared passwords. A mechanic can work with more than one shop from the same profile, and their work history stays theirs.

A service adviser with the right permissions

The service adviser role is switched on for any employee with one toggle. The service adviser books cars into the schedule, answers booking requests and assigns mechanics to cars – while parts, prices and the mechanics' pay stay with you.

Labour pay without spreadsheets

For any period you see each mechanic's share of the labour, their hours and their base salary. Click a mechanic to see every repair behind the amount – handy when you need to explain the numbers. The section is protected with a PIN.

Productivity scores

Each mechanic gets a score based on labour per hour, completed jobs and how close they come to the estimated time – compared with your own shop's average, not an abstract norm.

Paid time off without awkward conversations

Mechanics request time off in the app. You see the leave calendar with balances and carried-over days and approve with one tap.

Frequently asked questions

Can a mechanic work for two shops?

Yes. The mechanic is linked to every shop they work with from one profile, and their work history stays with them.

Does the service adviser see pay?

No. The service adviser works with the schedule, booking requests and assigning mechanics. Parts, prices and pay stay with the owner.

How is pay worked out?

From the labour on the repairs the mechanic worked on during the period, plus their base salary if they have one. Every amount traces back to the repairs behind it.
